HF & MICROWAVE CERAMIC CHIP CAPACITORS: "L" SERIES

Ultra stable dielectric - Low K -Low E.S.R
Between high "Q" porcelain chips and standard NPO types, there is an increasing need for a product which offers to the design engineer a guarantee of maximum E.S.R for circuit performances in the frequency range of 20 to 1 000 MHz (sometimes higher) and also the insurance that the performances will be kept from one lot to an other lot.

The "L" Series uses a special design with a low dielectric constant NPO and is the TEMEX COMPONENTS solution to the problem. A laboratory kit "L"- Series is now available from stock.

HF & MICROWAVE CERAMIC CHIP CAPACITORS: "S" SERIES

TEMEX COMPONENTS has developed this series of ceramic chips capacitors for applications where a standard NPO chip does not give to the user the guarantee of a stable given E.S.R. and "Q" factor from one lot to another one.

Our "S" series is consequently featuring a Type 1 NPO temperature coefficient with a low E.S.R. and low loss characteristics (High "Q") in two popular sizes very well fitted to R.F. applications (0505 and 0603) dealing with frequency ranges 900 to 2500 MHz (and above).

HF & MICROWAVE CERAMIC CHIP CAPACITORS: CHA-CHB-CFB SERIES

Ceramic chips for microwave applications ultra HIGH "Q" low ESR

DESCRIPTION

The high-Q characteristics of these monolitic chip capacitors make them ideally suited for applications at microwave frequencies. Featuring a very low equivalent series resistance, they are capable of handing high current levels and therefore offer greater efficiency in DC to RF conversion.

Constructed of an exceptionnally stable ceramic body, they exhibit no aging effects, very low drift, and maintain their characteristics over an extreme range of temperature, frequency and voltage variations.

They have been designed and are manufactured to meet or exceed the requirements of the CECC 32101-007 (CEA1-CEA2).

They comply with the widely used specifications MIL-C 55681 (equivalent sizes CDR 11/12, CDR 13/14).

Also called "Porcelain capacitors" for the high purity of their basic ceramic material used in their construction, they provide the user with a full range of sizes, capacitances, voltages, and electrical performances which cover all the most stringent requirements of the VHF-UHF applications.

HIGH "Q" - LABORATORY KITS

For both engineers and technicians, choosing the correct value of capacitor is vital to ensure as near perfect matching as possible for a given application. This is all the more true when working in the VHF/UHF field when as little as 0,1 pF can make all the difference.

However, the choice is difficult and sometimes limited if the necessary value is not immediately available.

In order to assist designers in their plight, TEMEX COMPONENTS has introduced two laboratory kits for HIGH "Q" chip, based in CHA and CHB Series:

All the capacitors will be supplied with standard tin plated over nickel-barrier terminations (V) making them ideally suited to repeated soldering and de-soldering operations.

Each capacitor will be laser marked with capacitance value and tolerance.

HIGH VOLTAGE RF CAPACITORS: CP/CL SERIES

DESCRIPTION

The CP and CL series have been developed for communication, transmission and high technical applications (military, civil, medical...) in which low losses, high current, high voltage capabilities are required in HF and VHF ranges.

Their pure high grade material ( Type 1 = defined temperature coefficient) and special electrode construction make them ideally suited for tuning and impedance matching applications where temperature rise under RF current has to be minimized to insure perfect reliability.

The non-porous ceramics which are used (P100 & NPO) makes them after suitable sintering operation totally impervious to most of external contaminating elements.

They are provided as bare chips as well as chips assemblies with standard and/or customized ribbons. They can also be delivered with special tolerances and/or sliced capacitance values.

Silver-Palladium (P) and/or Silver-Palladium-Platinum (A) terminations are delivered for non-magnetic applications. Gold (G) and/or Tin (V) plated nickel terminations are also achieved for direct chip soldering.

APPLICATIONS:

  • Transmission HF-VHF
  • Antenna tuning
  • Lightening protection
  • Probe antenna
  • Impedance matching
  • Induction heating
  • Filter
